BUSINESS RISK MANAGEMENT. In this episode, I discuss the legal risks facing your business. This includes first of all how to identify what risks your business faces. Also, I talk about how to minimize risks through recognizing, planning defensive asset protection strategies, and executing those strategies. I discuss asset protection strategies for the business facing these legal risks, which may include something as simple as continued compliance with regulations, or as complex as dividing the valuable asset from the high risk business activity. Last, I talk about asset protection for the owner. Strategies may include asset holding corporations and operating companies to separate the risk from the asset. The risk may be mitigated with good insurance, or even just avoiding that activity if it’s not a core function of your business.
